The European Patients’ Academy for Therapeutic Innovation (EUPATI) was launched in Switzerland in February 2016. The aim is to provide patients with better information about new therapies and treatment options and thus enable them to take a stand as patient representatives in medical research and development. With a toolbox, an online library and a training programme, patients can become experts. “With EUPATI, we want to give patient organisations a voice and get involved in health policy processes”, emphasised Hansruedi Völkle, founding president of EUPATI Switzerland, at the founding event in Berne, which was attended by over 140 interested parties. Life Science Communication was able to accompany the event with media work and conference moderation. For more information www.eupati.eu
