EUPATI Switzerland is expanding its commitment to strengthening patient involvement in medical research with a new online course. Developed in collaboration with the Department of Clinical Research at the University of Basel, the course is available in German, French, and Italian. It is designed for patients, caregivers, and other interested individuals, offering a flexible, free alternative to the in-person training for “EUPATI Switzerland Patient Experts.”

The online course enables participants to acquire practical knowledge of clinical research through self-study. In six modules, participants learn how clinical research in Switzerland works and how they can actively contribute. The course content covers topics from legal and ethical foundations to the implementation of new research findings. An optional certificate can be obtained after passing a knowledge test, available for an administrative fee.

For more information and to register for the course, please visit the EUPATI Switzerland website. Life Science Communication manages the EUPATI Switzerland office and is also responsible for the administration of the “EUPATI Switzerland Patient Expert” training program.
