The Swiss Biotech Day took place in Basel at the beginning of May 2025 and was attended by over 1,600 companies. With over 3,100 participants, Swiss Biotech Day is one of the most important European biotech conferences. The General Assembly of the Swiss Biotech Association and the publication of the Swiss Biotech Report also take place during the conference.
Other key elements are the Global Village, which enables extensive partnering among participants, as well as the numerous company presentations and panel discussions. In this context, it was repeatedly emphasized how important the motto of this year’s meeting, “The Power of international cooperation”, is, especially in the current constellation of the global economy.
Presentations picked up on current trends, for example CEO Dario My, who introduced the newly established Deep Tech Nation Switzerland Foundation and showed that Swiss technical universities occupy top positions in the field of deep tech. This year’s highlight was once again the presentation of the Swiss Biotech Success Stories Awards, which went to Henri B. Meier, founder of Swiss Future Fund, and Pascale Vonmont from Gebert Rüf Stiftung. Life Science Communication was once again able to support the Swiss Biotech Association in organizing the Swiss Biotech Day event.
