Life Science Communication has again implemented a campaign for Hepatitis Switzerland for the World Hepatitis Day on 28 July 2018. “I’ve been tested, have you?” Swiss personalities such as the writer Pedro Lenz or the doctor and comedian Fabian Unteregger ask. In addition, testimonial videos invite you to take a risk test.
The campaign is designed to motivate people at risk of infection to be tested. Of the 80,000 people with chronic viral hepatitis in Switzerland, many are still unaware of their infection. This is despite the availability of drugs that can prevent serious complications such as serious liver disease and death. “As a doctor, I myself have experienced the danger of viral hepatitis,” explains Fabian Unteregger. “We need to do more to prevent liver cirrhosis and cancer.”
This year’s campaign lasts about two months. It is advertised through posters and pamphlets in selected medical centres and practices and through online marketing and social media measures. The campaign builds on the long-standing collaboration that began in 2015 with the first World Hepatitis Day campaign.
