The IT’IS Foundation in Zurich, which is associated with ETH Zurich, is the first independent non-profit foundation dedicated to the improvement and progress of people’s quality of life. IT’IS projects are divided into three areas: electromagnetic technologies, electromagnetic release and risk assessment, and IT’IS for health.
One project is the «Sim4Life» Life Sciences platform for the analysis and optimization of neurovascular and neurological devices and treatments. By means of a personalized representation of the human body, the effects of technical devices on the body can be researched in various environments. They conduct intensive research into the MRI compatibility of various implants such as brain probes and cardiac pacemakers. Life Science Communication is in close contact with the foundation with the aim of developing joint projects.
