The rendezvous of the Swiss biotechnology industry took place in Basel from April 22 to 23. With over 2,500 participants, more than 40% of whom came from 75 countries, Swiss Biotech Day, which was launched by the Swiss Biotech Association, has long since become an event with international appeal. This also underlines the importance of this economic sector for Switzerland. Figures can be found in the new Swiss Biotech Report. At CHF 2 billion, the sector was once again able to attract significantly more funding in 2023 than in the rather disappointing previous year. The Swiss Biotech Association once again presented the Swiss Biotech Success Stories Awards. This year’s winners were the Swiss Foundation for Muscle Disease Research and Hans-Peter Strebel, the founder of Fumapharm.

This year, Life Science Communication has again supported the Swiss Biotech Association in organizing the Swiss Biotech Day event.
