From 21-23 March, the Swiss National Science Foundation will hold the national SNSF Corona Research Conference, bringing together all SNSF-funded Corona research teams and other researchers working in the field. Around 100 research groups are expected to attend, representing the numerous research fields related to SARS-CoV-2 and pandemic research.

The programme includes interesting keynote speeches, poster sessions, presentations as well as panel and group discussions. The most current aspects and developments around the topic of the corona pandemic will be discussed in thematic sessions. At the same time, the conference will provide the framework for the kick-off meeting of the new National Research Programme “Covid-19 in Society” (NRP 80) and for the final conference of the National Research Programme “Covid-19” (NRP 78).

The aim of the conference is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between a wide range of disciplines, from biomecidine to social sciences, in order to be better prepared for future pandemics.

Mark Bächer as head of knowledge transfer in NRP 78 and Life Science Communication as agency are actively involved in the conception, organisation and implementation of the SNSF Corona Research Conference.
